Climbing Team
Ages 12 and up – 4 to 6:00pm
The climbing team is perfect for students with climbing experience who want to enhance their skills both indoors and outside. This program focuses on rope work, technical skills, leading skills, and training regimens. The team participates in at least 1 competition a semester. The climbing team students meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm.

Price -
$250 for the 8 week course *Includes all gear, instruction, and a climbing team tee shirt, and a RL membership for the semester. This also includes an end of semester trip. Each Semester will have a different
objective at the end of the 8 weeks. The objective will either be a climbing weekend or a climbing competition.
Dates:
First Semester – Tuesdays and Thursdays
August 27th – October 18th
Second Semester – Tuesdays and Thursdays
October 23rd - December 13th
(No class the week of Thanksgiving)
Third Semester – Tuesdays and Thursdays
December 18th – February 28th
(No class over Christmas break and winter break)
Fourth Semester – Tuesdays and Thursdays
March 5th – April 30th
Travel Team -
The Rock Lounge now has a competitive traveling team. The team will compete in the Colorado middle and high school climbing league. The travel team will be coached by professional climber Marcus Garcia.
The travel team trains with the climbing team on Tuesday and Thursdays and are expected to compete on the weekends when there are competitions on the Western Slope. ** Coach Garcia will also be
training a competitive national team as well.
